The COVID certificate confirming the receipt of a full course of vaccination is mandatory for all participants of the tour to the Catacombs.

In 2019, a previously abandoned section of the Odessa catacombs, the entrance to which is located on Gradonachalnitskaya str, was hospitably opened to guests and residents of Odessa by experts and members of the Cultural Heritage public movement. Now you can take a walk, accompanied by trained specialists, the uncharted paths of underground Odessa and listen to the stories and facts, carefully collected by the local historians of Odessa and presented in an interesting way by accredited guides.

It is safe to say that this part of the system of the Odessa catacombs, without a doubt, is the oldest and untouched of all the catacombs located within the city limits. In addition, here passed the famous path of the Odessa smugglers.

Excursion duration – 1,5 hours.

During the tour:

→You will learn how the shell rock was mined;
→You will admire the unique arched passages;
→You will follow the routes of famous Odessa smugglers;
→You will visit places of gathering of members of the famous Odessa Masonic Lodge;
→You will hear stories about Mishka Japonchik and Lubka Kozak;
→You will see how was ensured the safety of workers and guests of the mine;
→You will learn about the Separate Maritime Army and the 73-day heroic defense of Odessa during the Second World War;
→You will admire the unique stalactites;
→You will get unique feelings, knowledge and personal experience of being deep underground, not comparable with anything that happened to you before!

EXCURSION COST:

1 – 2 persons – 500 UAH per group (about 16 EUR) + 700 UAH per group (about 22 EUR) for translator services

From 3 to 15 persons – 200 UAH per person (about 6,5 EUR) + 700 UAH (about 22 EUR) per group for translator services

Reminder: you need to take comfortable shoes for hiking and warm clothes on your excursion (during the summer period) – inside the quarries there is a constant temperature of 14 degrees.
